Transitional Kindergarten
Start learning with us, beginning at age 4!
Welcome to the first big milestone in their academic journey! Entering TK is a big step for families. We understand how important it is to make sure your child is set up to succeed. In Vacaville Unified, our goal is simple. We want to spark an interest in education which will last your child a lifetime!
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is designed as the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. EC Section 48000 [d].
TK is offered at all elementary schools in the Vacaville Unified School District and has the following offerings:
Alamo (PM Class ONLY)
Browns Valley (AM and PM Classes)
Callison (AM and PM Classes)
Cooper (AM and PM Classes)
Edwin Markham (AM and PM Classes)
Fairmont (AM Class ONLY)
Hemlock (AM and PM Classes)
Orchard (AM and PM Classes)
Padan (AM and PM Classes)
Sierra Vista (AM and PM Classes)
Registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open. Spots are limited, so register early.
Kindergarten Information
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2026-27 - Registration will be completed at the home school.
To enroll in Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year, students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026, with a date of birth between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021.
