After-School Education and Safety (ASES)

ASES is a state-funded (and state-named) program that focuses on literacy, academic enrichment and safe constructive alternatives for students. VUSD currently operates the program at four elementary school sites: Fairmont, Hemlock, Markham, and Padan. Each site has limited enrollment space, and is available for all students in grades TK-6.

The program begins promptly at the end of the school day and continues until 6 p.m. every school day. A nutritious snack and supper are provided each day as part of the program.

The ASES Program provides tutoring and/or homework assistance designed to help students meet state standards in one or more of the core academic subjects. Enrichment activities may include the visual and performing arts, music, physical activity, health/nutrition promotion, and general recreation.

ASES Registration Information

Please contact Right At School at (855) 287-2466 or visit their website for additional information about the registration process.
